September 2019 Resolution Update

I've been hard-core procrastinating writing and posting my this resolution update. Why? Because I'm incredibly hard on myself, and I feel like I failed a little bit in September. But then I remembered that they whole reason I post these is to keep myself accountable. We can't just ignore the times that we fail; we have to learn from them.

Goals Meals
In September, I made Garlic Parmesan Mac and Cheese, and honestly, I didn't really like it. I will admit it tasted a lot better as left overs. You can see which meals I still have left to make by checking my board here!

Money & Shopping
I spent so much money in September. Both on new and used items. But personally I feel like it's always September that I spent the most during. And honestly, I can't even tell you everything I bought.

Regarding the Earth
I felt a little awful at the beginning of this month. I was in a little bit of a rough spot so I treated myself to a blouse and duster from Walmart, and some new undergarments from Hanky Panky and Solstice Intimates. While I intend on getting full use out of my Walmart purchases, I felt a little better about my undergarment purchases after I found out that Hanky Panky is actually a pretty ethical brand. Additionally solstice intimates are handmade as well. I've also bought some other things that weren't used and it's been a lot more difficult to be so earth conscious living on campus. I haven't been able to compost either, which hurts my heart. (I just don't feel right burying my compost in Kent's perfectly manicured campus.

Reading
By the end of September, I still hadn't finished the French kissing book, but I did spend a whole day downtown (while waiting for my car's oil to be changed) and I read a whole book while I waited. It was Ragged Alice by Gareth L. Powell. And it was really good, except the ending was confusing to say the least. I would recommend it, regardless! My Goodreads book challenge had increased to 5/15 by the end of the month.

The Blog
I feel really good about where I'm at with the blog right now. My only complaint is that it took me too long to convince myself to post September's resolution update - lol! And because I didn't want to keep posting without posting this so everything got a little backed up. What can I say though? I did this to myself!

Much Love,
Jacquelyn
