A Little Life Update

I feel like I have been the absolute worse lately about posting. Actually, I have been. The beginning of May has been crazy. First, I finished my first year of college, which I'm currently preparing for a couple posts on that. After packing up all my belongings, I picked my mom up at the airport and we drove 18 hours back home to Lafayette. I got back Wednesday night, and was exhausted. The next day, I felt awful: my allergies were acting up, my throat hurt, I had a headache, etc. So we went to the doctor where the diagnosed me with tonsillitis and treated me for strep-like symptoms. This past weekend, my family hosted an engagement party for my cousin. Yesterday was Mother's Day, and here I am today: relaxing, recovering, and putting away all the stuff that was in my car.

The past few weeks have been crazy, but exciting. For example, I'm getting a composter! I'm so excited to start composting all the things I can compost, and it feels so good to finally convince my mom that this is a good idea for us and the earth. (To clarify, we always knew it was a good idea for the earth, she just didn't think getting an actual composter was necessary.)

On more of the crazy side, I'm currently looking for a job, and um, well, it's not super fun. Of course, I'll still be babysitting, and I have a super flexible part time sub job thing lined up, but I'm still looking for my main part time job. (I really hope that made sense.) In the same line that money and jobs are concerned, I've also got a large pile of things to put on Poshmark and Mecari - perks of cleaning out my dorm room!

I hope the beginning of your summer is going well, and if you're not quite there yet (bc of school or the weather) I hope summer comes soon for you!
Much Love,
Jacquelyn

  1. Wow, you've been busy! It's too bad about your allergies acting up - I too have allergies - but Spring is so beautiful that it's my favourite time of year.
Bummer about the tonsillitis! Best wishes with your job searches. Yes, you are making sense!
Kudos on and best wishes for your composting endeavours.
The button-front midi-dress dress you were wearing in the outfit photos above looks attractive and stylish.
Best wishes for a very healthy, happy, successful and thoroughly enjoyable summer!
